At Curtis & Carder Services Ltd, we’re proud to be a trusted, family-run plumbing and heating company serving Bicester and the surrounding areas since 1982. As we continue to grow, we’re looking for experienced and motivated Service Engineers to join our friendly, professional team. 

 

🔧 What You’ll Be Doing 

​

  • Servicing, repairing, and maintaining domestic gas appliances (boilers, heating systems, etc.) 

  • Working with domestic oil appliances and unvented hot water cylinders 

  • Carrying out Landlord safety checks and issuing relevant certification 

  • Participating in our emergency call-out rota (1 in 5 – full details at interview) 

  • Delivering top-notch customer service with clear, respectful communication 

  • Keeping your company van, tools, and equipment in excellent condition

✅ What We’re Looking For 

​

  • Gas Safe registered (Domestic Gas) 

  • OFTEC, LPG and Unvented Cylinders (G3)  qualifications are a bonus, but not essential (Training will be given) 

  • A full UK driving licence 

  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently 

  • A positive, professional attitude and great communication skills

We’re now looking for skilled and motivated Plumbing & Heating Engineers to join our growing team.

Whether you're already Gas and Oil trained or looking to gain those qualifications, we’d love to hear from you—training can be provided for the right candidate. 

 

🔧 Key Responsibilities 

​

  • Install and maintain bathrooms and plumbing systems 

  • Carry out boiler changes  

  • Install and upgrade heating systems 

  • Complete small plumbing works (repairs, callouts, general jobs) 

  • Work on renewable installs (heat pumps)  

  • Participate in our emergency call-out rota (1 in 5 – full details at interview) 

  • Ensure all work is completed safely, on time, and to a high standard 

  • Deliver excellent customer service and represent the company professionally 

 

✅ What You’ll Need 

​

  • NVQ Level 2/3 in Plumbing & Heating (or equivalent) 

  • Gas Safe qualified (or working towards qualification) 

  • OFTEC, LPG and Unvented Cylinders (G3) qualifications are a bonus, but not essential (Training will be given) 

  • Knowledge of heat pump systems (training available) 

  • Full UK driving licence 

  • A reliable, professional, and customer-focused approach
