Our Story
A proud family run business working from the heart of Oxfordshire since 1982.

Mission & History
Curtis and Carder Services Ltd are a proud family run business working from the heart of Oxfordshire.
The company was founded by Alan Carder and Tim Curtis over 30 years ago in 1982. The pair tossed a 50 pence piece to decide whose name would go first and, after best out of three, Tim won and Curtis and Carder was born!
We really do pride ourselves on being a family business, with Michael Carder as the Managing Director, his younger brother Graham Carder is the Servicing Manager and their older brother Stuart Carder is the company's Estimator. Not to mention Michael's wife, Lorraine Carder, works in the invoicing department — it truly is a family affair.
As of 2024, we employ 36 people and have 28 vans on the road, carrying out all manner of plumbing, heating and servicing works across Oxfordshire and 3 neighbouring counties.

The Fleet
From a handful of vans in the early days to today's modern fleet — some things never change, especially the white paint and the family pride.

The original fleet and crew — a handful of vans and a lot of hard work.

Five vans lined up at the yard — the Curtis and Carder livery from day one.

The fleet grows as word spreads across Bicester and Oxfordshire.

Parked up outside the Hardwick yard — heating, plumbing and warm air heaters.

The fleet takes shape with a mix of estates and transit vans on the road.

The modern fleet — 28 vans on the road, covering Oxfordshire and beyond.
